Major League Soccer has seen a huge rise in the star players that have come out of the league, and 18-year-old Dallas FC star Ricardo Pepi is next in line. The young forward has already played for the US men’s national team scoring three goals and has a very high potential to go to the top.

Following in the steps of Christian Pulisic, who made the move from the United States to Germany at Borussia Dortmund in 2015, Pepi is the subject of a lot of interest from the Bundesliga. While Pulisic was just 16 when he moved to Germany, Pepi is another star with a bright future.

Fabrizio Romano reveals the details of Wolfsburg’s interest in Pepi

According to popular football journalist Fabrizio Romano, Pepi is in the eyes of Bundesliga club Wolfsburg. Moreover, it seems highly likely that the Bundesliga is going to be his next destination.

Wolfsburg are pushing to sign Ricardo Pepi. Bundesliga is the most likely destination for the USMT talent, as anticipated today,” Romano revealed.

Other clubs have also reportedly shown an interest but talks with Wolfsburg are on an advanced stage.

There’s still no full agreement with Dallas FC but negotiations are advanced. Work in progress after many clubs showing interest,” the journalist added.

Ricardo Pepi and his start to life in Major League Soccer with FC Dallas

The American has already played 55 times for FC Dallas in his young career. He was the club’s fourth youngest academy signing at the age of just 16 years and 163 days. He made his MLS debut one day later and finally scored his first goal for the club in March of 2020.

He truly came to life last season in the MLS in 2021 where he played 31 times for FC Dallas and scored 13 goals, along with two assists. The future is really bright for the young star and if he keeps progressing this way, the USMNT have an amazing player on their hands for the near future.
