The top players from any support earn hefty salaries, deservingly so. However, with the marketability factor of superstars and their vast fan-following, their sponsorships help them double their financial success. Cristiano Ronaldo, Tom Brady, and Michael Jordan are three superstars who have benefited hugely from endorsements, collaborations, and many other ways.

All three of them have been at the pinnacle of their craft and are considered to be the greatest players of all time. However, Jordan has eclipsed Ronaldo and Brady in terms of his net worth because of a few shrewd investments and sponsorships.

Michael Jordan and his net worth

The American superstar has won six rings with the Chicago Bulls during his illustrious career. While his salary during his playing career added up to $90 million, he has earned $1.8 billion (pre-tax) from sponsors such as Nike, Hanes, and Gatorade.

In 2021, Forbes estimates Michael Jordan’s net worth to be around $1.6 billion. He earns the most amount of money out of all other retired athletes in the world. The 58-year-old co-owns a NASCAR team and is the owner of NBA team Charlotte Hornets, valued at around $1.5 billion.

Cristiano Ronaldo and Tom Brady – Their net worth and endorsements

The Portuguese footballer has been among the richest earners in the world for a long time now. It all peaked in 2017 when he was the richest athlete in the world with yearly earnings of $88 million. Currently, he is still in the top-10 and has a net worth of $500 million.

On the other hand, Brady is in the top-10 of the richest athletes in the world as well, but he isn’t Ronaldo’s or Jordan’s net worth. Tom Brady’s net worth accounts to  $250 million and $150 million out of these came from endorsements.

Ronaldo and Jordan have also signed huge deals with Nike, and are extremely marketable to this day, given the legacy they’ve created in the world of sports. However, Tom Brady is doing really well right now, and even at 32, he remains one of the best in the NFL.
