Manchester United superstar Paul Pogba has been proving his doubters wrong this season with his amazing performances. As a result, United are looking to reward the midfielder with a bumper raise which will raise a lot of eyebrows.

The deal would be necessary as Pogba is out of contract next summer. There was some interest in the midfielder from PSG and Real Madrid. However, a move never materialized and Pogba is plying his trade in Manchester. United cannot afford to lose him for free as his value in the market would be around 75 million pounds.

The French World Cup winner currently earns 290,000 pounds every week and is one of the highest-paid players in Manchester. However, United will reportedly offer him a deal worth a lofty 470,000 pounds per week. By comparison, Cristiano Ronaldo currently earns £385,000 per week.

Ronaldo, however, will recoup the investment through shirt sales and other benefits alone. United’s stock increased by 8% the day Ronaldo joined, and this by itself resulted in a profit of 250 million euros for the club.

Ronaldo is proving himself on the pitch as well. The Portuguese forward has scored 4 goals in the three games he played for United and has scored United’s first goal in every match that he has played in. Ronaldo’s form, coupled with Bruno Fernandes’ and Paul Pogba’s brilliance, is surely enough for United to win something.

Pogba is in the best form of his United career as the midfielder is leading the assists chart this season. He has 7 assists in just four Premier League games this season and started the new season with four assists in one match against Leeds United.

Only Harry Kane has achieved this feat before Pogba, and Heung Min Son was the beneficiary of all four assists.
