Cristiano Ronaldo recently returned to Manchester United after leaving the club in 2009. The Portuguese left Juventus in a 15 million euro move to return to the club where he won his first UEFA Champions League and Ballon d’Or title.
United’s manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer spoke about Ronaldo’s impending debut.
“We need to get all the paperwork done. I’m not part of, but hopefully, we can get that sorted and announce it 100%. Then he’s away with Portugal playing the games,” Solskjaer revealed after United’s win against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

He also talked about Portugal’s three international games where he’ll play alongside new teammate Bruno Fernandes. He talked about Cristiano Ronaldo’s quality and revealed that he would be a starter from the beginning.
“They’ve got three games, the last game on Tuesday. Get him back to Manchester with Bruno [Fernandes], and then hopefully, he’ll be involved ASAP. Let’s get Cristiano signed first. He’s not signed to sit on the bench. He’s going to make us a better team,” the manager concluded.
Cristiano Ronaldo might make his second debut for the club against Newcastle on 11th September. Before that, he’ll play his last game for Portugal against Azerbaijan on September 7 and will have three days to be ready for the game against Newcastle.

“Cristiano has evolved as a player. He used to play wide right, wide left, upfront, but he’s more of a centre forward for me at the moment, definitely. There will be games we play with two upfront or three upfront, but I want him in the box. I want him scoring goals,” Ole said.
It’ll be interesting to see how Ronaldo does in this second stint at United because if it’s anything like his first one, Manchester United might just finally return to their best again.
