The footballing transfer window is in full swing right now. Many world class stars like Romelu Lukaku and Lionel Messi have also joined some of the biggest teams in the Europe. But with a couple of weeks remaining, multiple big name moves might be possible. One constant name in the rumor mill has been Harry Kane.

Kane over the last five seasons has emerged as one of the top strikers in world football. While individual success has been a constant for the English man, team success hasn’t been the case for the 28-year-old.

Playing for Tottenham, Kane and the Spurs have challenged other teams for titles but have never been able to jump across the hump. Given that Kane is in his absolute prime and is devoid of trophies, rumors of a move away from the Spurs have been rampant.

Harry Kane stay with Spurs looks imminent

After completing the 2020-21 season in a disappointing note, Kane made his intentions clear that he wanted to win some major trophies. A move away from Tottenham was heavily rumored. One of the biggest potential suitors for the same were Manchester City.

City who saw one of their biggest club legends in Sergio Aguero leave the club on a free transfer where reportedly looking to nab the English captain in this transfer window. Kane was even left out of the first match day squad further fuelling the rumors.

But insider Fabrizio Romano gave a pretty crucial update on the striker’s future. According to Romano, Spurs are confident of keeping the 28-year-old in the squad and despite the numerous bids Man City have made, Daniel Levy is adamant of keeping the striker in the club. With his future almost decided, the English captain was also included in the match-day squad against the Wolverhampton Wanderers.

This is certainly big news for Spurs and City fans. The English striker even featured as a substitute for the Spurs in their matchup against Wolves. Spurs have certainly got off to a fantastic start to their league campaign this season.
