Liverpool continued their great form in the Premier League this season as they won their match against Brighton by a score of 2-0. The club’s new Columbian winger Luis Diaz got on the scoresheet along with the ever-present Mohamed Salah.
Diaz’s goal was the opener as the Columbian headed the ball past Brighton’s keeper Robert Sanchez in the 19th minute. However, Sanchez was running towards the ball and collided with Diaz, kneeing him in the chest in the process.
Surprisingly, referee Mike Dean did not show a red card to Sanchez, and people turned to VAR for an intervention. However, even the VAR referee, Stuart Attwell, decided that the tackle wasn’t an offense worthy of a red card, and the game continued.

Still can’t believe the keeper didn’t get a red card for this challenge on Diaz,in fact he went un-punished

Liverpool cruise past Brighton as Salah scores again
The game went on as usual after the incident as Brighton struggled to create any chances in the first half. Leandro Trossard missed a golden chance for the club, just after half-time, and that was the last chance Brighton ever got in the match.
Liverpool’s Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah scored the match’s second goal in the 61st minute as he slotted his penalty past a hapless Robert Sanchez. With that goal, Salah brought up his tally to 20 goals for this season, and the forward has also added 10 assists for the club in 26 Premier League games.
Salah has been the best player in England this season, and if he continues like this, he might finally win the Ballon d’Or.

Liverpool’s prospects of winning the Premier League
The Merseyside club already won the first trophy of their season after beating Chelsea in the final of the League Cup. However, Jurgen Klopp’s men would look to add a second one as they compete for the top spot in the Premier League and the UEFA Champions League.
The club has made it through to the Quarterfinals of the UCL, and are in second place in the Premier League table. Liverpool has three fewer points than league leaders Manchester City after 28 games, and if City slips up once, Klopp’s men can catch up.
