FC Barcelona has struggled this season in all competitions. They have dropped a long way from the glory days of the past when the club used to win every single trophy. Now, there are new problems in the club almost every day, and their French winger Ousmane Dembele is the latest one.
Barca broke the bank to sign Dembele from Borussia Dortmund, where the youngster was impressing everyone with his performances. However, the move hasn’t worked out at all as the young forward has struggled a lot with injuries and never really got going at the club.
Currently, Dembele has six months left on his contract with Barca and the youngster was frozen out of the team by club president Joan Laporta because he refused to sign a new deal. Moreover, the youngster failed to find another club in the January transfer window and will now spend six more months at the club.

Dani Alves speaks about the problem
Everyone in the squad is now resigned to the fact that Dembele is staying and the players want Laporta to let the winger play. New signing Dani Alves thinks that the club has to make the most out of the situation and play him, the same as the team’s manager Xavi.
“As long as Ousmane is still at Barcelona, you have to make the most out of the situation. You have to look past your ego,” Alves said.

FC Barcelona president Joan Laporta talks about Ousmane Dembele
Football journalist Fabrizio Romano reported that Barca president Laporta plans to use Dembele until his contract expires on June 30. Laporta spoke to Movistar and said he hopes that the 24-year-old star behaves professionally in the coming months.
“If we have to pay Dembélé until June 30th, we find it logical what Xavi says about using him. Let’s hope Ousmane behaves professionally,” Laporta said.
