Liverpool fans were hit with a huge blow during the FA Cup final against Chelsea. Star forward Mohamed Salah had to go off the pitch with an injury in the first half. Salah has been Liverpool’s best player this season and hence, fans are really concerned.
He looked like he was in some discomfort before walking off and it won’t be a good omen for the next few days. Liverpool will soon play in the UEFA Champions League final against Real Madrid in about two weeks. If his injury turns out to be a long-term one, Liverpool will be at a great disadvantage.
They also have a chance to win the Premier League. Albeit, that does look like a much smaller possibility. However, they might now have to do it all without Salah.

Salah’s fate in the UCL final in 2018
All of this seems eerily similar to what happened in the Champions League final in 2018. Liverpool were facing a Real Madrid team in the final that had won three UCL titles in four years. However, they were on the back foot very early after Sergio Ramos’ tackle on Salah caused his arm to get injured.
Salah tried playing but had to leave the pitch in tears after a lot of pain. It only got worse for the Egyptian winger as Liverpool went on to lose the final. They would win the UCL next season, but that loss would still affect Salah to this day.
If his injury proves to be a long-term one, Madrid would be the overwhelming favorites to win their 14th Champions League crown.
