Lionel Messi is one of the greatest football players of all time. He recently proved his dominance by winning his 7th Ballon d’Or last year, the highest among all players. However, at the age of 34, his time at the top is ending very soon.

The Argentinian forward did not have the best year with Paris Saint Germain as his numbers dropped massively. He only managed to score six league goals for the club but did manage to add 14 assists. Still, it’s a sharp drop from the numbers he put up at FC Barcelona, and people believe that Messi might look for his swansong very soon.

Lionel Messi will quite a ruckus in the MLS

People have speculated what Messi’s last club would be and several romantic possibilities emerge. A return to Barcelona would be poetic, seeing as he spent over 20 years at the club. However, Messi has also expressed a desire to play in Argentina again.

On the other hand, he has been linked with a move to the MLS several times. Former USMNT keeper Tim Howard seems to think that Messi would come to the MLS and said that it would be the biggest thing in the MLS.
