Messi reveals that his age was a factor
The Argentinian forward went on to say that his age also played a role in his problems. Messi had spent 20 years with Barca, and leaving the club would always have been hard. He did add that it would’ve been easier if he was younger, but at the time of the transfer he didn’t want it.
“After a lifetime in the same place, it’s not easy at my age. It’s one thing to do it when you’re younger and you want to, but at the time I didn’t want to and I didn’t imagine or expect it,” he added.
