Lionel Messi is settling in well at PSG after his free transfer to the Parisian club from FC Barcelona. However, his arrival rang some alarm bells regarding the future of their young superstar Kylian Mbappe at PSG. Mbappe has been linked with a move to Spanish giants and Barcelona’s rivals Real Madrid.

Nevertheless, Mbappe seems thrilled with the chance to play alongside Messi. The French world cup winner posted the photos of his first encounter with Messi as they shared a few words and a hug in the end. It seems like the squad is all smiling at Paris Saint Germain.

With the addition of Messi, the club now has the scariest front three in the world of football. Lining up with Mbappe and Messi is the Brazilian superstar Neymar Jr., who has been in splendid form in the French league. Messi has played with Neymar before at Barcelona, and along with Uruguayan forward Luis Suarez, they won the treble (UEFA Champions League, La Liga and the Copa Del Ray in the same season.)

Mbappe is a forward of that caliber, and PSG will certainly be the favorites to win it all this season. If he does win the UCL this season, Messi will have four UCLs, which will bring him within touching distance of his rival Cristiano Ronaldo’s five.

In all of the controversy surrounding his departure, Messi’s shirt number was also in question. He wore the number 10 for Barcelona, but Neymar Jr. wore it at PSG. The Brazilian offered the number 10 to Messi, but he refused and will now play with the number 30 on his back.

PSG fans would hope that the Argentinian forward can do the same for them this season as well. They have never had a squad better than this, and it’ll be interesting to see if they can finally capture the elusive UCL this time.
