There are very few managers in the world of football who enjoy the kind of popularity that Jose Mourinho does. His early success and domination had a lot to do with it all, but his controversial ways and entertaining press conferences just add on to his charm.
The Portuguese manager is currently managing AS Roma and has done a relatively good job at the club. Roma finished seventh in the league last season, a disappointing result for a club of their stature. However, they are in sixth place this season, just five points away from Atalanta in fourth place as they try to get back to the UEFA Champions League.

Jose Mourinho talks about AS Roma’s win over Empoli
Roma beat Empoli by a scoreline of 4-2 in their Seria A match to go up to the sixth place. They scored four goals in the first half but allowed two more in the second half. After the match, Mourinho talked about the team’s game management and said that it could be controlled better.
“Yes we could’ve controlled the game better, but this is still a big achievement. It’s not easy to win 4-2 here. Coming into this game we already knew that Lazio, Atalanta, and Fiorentina all dropped points, so it was important for us to win and we did it,” Mourinho told DAZN.
He also joked that Roma let in two goals in the second half to entertain the audience. If they had scored the fifth goal in the second half, no one would’ve watched the second half according to Mourinho.
“As for the second half, we did it for the audience. They would’ve turned their TV’s off if we went up 5-0,” he joked.

Mourinho talks about the impact Sergio Oliveira has on the team
Roma signed Sergio Oliveira on loan from Porto, and the Portuguese midfielder has made an instant impact. He scored for the second game in a row and Mourinho is happy with his contributions.
“He’s different than the other guys we’ve got, but he’s not a regista as you guys call it here in Italy. But I knew he could make a difference both from a physical and decision-making point of view,” he concluded.
