Manchester United’s defensive midfielder Casemiro has been at the epicenter of transfer rumors for quite some time. Among the clubs that have lined up to sign Casemiro is Al Nassr, aiming to reunite him with Cristiano Ronlado. Even while Casemiro’s transfer rumors are doing rounds, Manchester United has not officially confirmed their stance on the Brazilian. That, however, is now a story of the past. The Red Devils have now let out an update on Casemiro’s future.

As things stand, it won’t be untrue to say Manchester United are in dire straits now. Apparently, the team under the tutelage of Erik ten Hag is set to go through certain revamps in the upcoming transfer window. Turns out, Casemiro, among others, is a part of the Devils’ plans for the January transfer window.

According to Independent, Manchester United is willing to listen to offers on a set of seasoned players in the January transfer window. These stars include Casemiro, Raphael Varane, and Jadon Sancho, who are already free agents. The talk among soccer circles is that Erik ten Hag has been dealing with players who played under his predecessors. Apparently, ten Hag perhaps wants a reformation at Old Trafford, bringing in stars who best fit his managerial style.

Casemiro’s exploits at Old Trafford since his move from Real Madrid have time and again given a respite to MUFC. However, the 31-year-old, as a midfielder, does not jibe very well with boss Erik ten Hag’s expectations from the role. Meanwhile, Casemiro too seems to be in pursuit of a novel experience at this point in his career. It is at this juncture that clubs like Al Nassr have eyed the 5x-UEFA Champions League winner.

Cristiano Ronaldo’s Al Nassr and other clubs line up for Casemiro

Al Nassr has been at the forefront of the race to sign Casemiro, ever since the player’s free agency became a trending topic. Per reports, Al Nassr will have to splurge $54.5 million to facilitate Casemiro’s reunion with Cristiano Ronaldo. If Al Nassr were to sign Casemiro, he would be the third Red Devil after Cristiano Ronaldo and Alex Telles to move to Riyadh. Besides, Ronaldo and Casemiro go back a long way. The exploits of the two have been immortalized in Real Madrid folklore even before they reunited in Manchester.

Casemiro’s Al Nassr move, however, is in slight jeopardy. Two other Saudi Clubs too are reportedly in pursuit of the Brazilian. While nothing is official, it is widely speculated that Al Nassr’s rivals, Al Hilal and Al Ahli, are the ones aiming to land Casemiro, thus solidifying his status.
