Things are pretty weird right now in Turin. Juventus had one of the worst starts this season, but they have recovered considerably well. While they are not back to their usual lofty standards, at least they are in contention of repeating the achievements of last season.
Juve finished in fourth place last season, and only barely. Cristiano Ronaldo’s 30 goals last season almost single-handedly took them to the UEFA Champions League this season when at one point they were in danger of missing out. This season has been no different as they were once sitting as low as ninth in the league.

Massimiliano Allegri and his tactics to manage the dressing room
Several people have speculated that Cristiano Ronaldo was the reason for Juventus’ downfall during his time at the club. However, that idea would seem foolish now as the club has suffered even more after his departure. Allegri has managed to steady the ship a little bit, but it’s yet to be seen if it’ll be enough.
He has been sharp in the dressing room and tough in his man-management. This was evident when he shouted at Adrien Rabiot during a match. The words were clearly heard by several people as the Frenchman was having a horrible time on the pitch.
“If you lose that ball, I will kill you,” Allegri shouted. It might seem extreme but Rabiot has been guilty of losing the ball many times for Juve, and that can be frustrating for a team desperate for a few wins under their belt.

Juventus and their standing in the league
The Old Lady is now sitting pretty in fifth place, just one point away from 4th place Atalanta, who do have a game in hand. Moreover, Napoli, who are in third place with 43 points, are just two points away, but they too have a game in hand.

If Allegri can turn the fortunes around at the club and get his players to listen, they can surely go up to third. However, there are still 16 more games to play, and it’ll be interesting to see where the club stands in a few match weeks.
