American football legend, Tom Brady, recently retired from the NFL after spending 22 seasons at the top level. In a post on Instagram, he talked about the time he spent with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and the championship that he won with his team of two years.
During his long career, he won an unprecedented seven super bowl titles. He made his debut in 2000 with the New England Patriots and spent 19 long years at the franchise. Notably, he joined the Buccs in 2020 and won another Super Bowl in his first season.

Soccer icon Pele posts a message of support for Tom Brady
Several people around the world posted messages to congratulate Brady on his legendary career. Among these were several soccer stars, both the currently active players and those who were retired. Brazilian legend Pele was probably the biggest name who congratulated Brady and uploaded a post on his Instagram account with a beautiful caption.
“My friend @tombrady, congratulations on your beautiful journey. You are a legend. As of today, an era in sport also ends. The decision to stop is difficult, but you are right. In this life we lead, there is no possibility of surrendering less than 100%,” Pele wrote.

The Brazilian legend expects a hug from Brady

The Instagram post also had a photo of Pele with Brady, where the legend could be seen wearing a New England Revolution helmet. He concluded the caption by saying that he expects Tom Brady and his wife Gisele to drop by more often.
“Before, I was rooting for your victory in the games. Now I keep hoping that your life will always be full of achievements. Now that you will have more time when you stop by, I expect a hug from you and @gisele,” he concluded.
Brady also commented on the post to thank Pele for his wishes. He also expressed his gratitude for the friendship that both of them share.
