Cristiano Ronaldo is a man who doesn’t give up easily. The Portuguese forward is still going strong at 37, and he’s still breaking records. He recently scored a hat-trick against Tottenham Hotspur and became the all-time leading goal scorer in the sport

He broke Josef Bican’s record of 806 goals and doesn’t look like he’s going to slow down anytime soon. The brilliance of the Portuguese forward is similar to that of NFL legend Tom Brady, who was in attendance at Old Trafford for Ronaldo’s hattrick.

Notably, Brady also met with the United squad after the match and spoke with Ronaldo for a few minutes. They both posed for a photo together and fans couldn’t help but notice that Brady was slightly taller than Ronaldo. The American NFL star’s height is 1.93m (6’4″), 6 cm (and two inches) more than Ronaldo’s.

Tom Brady inspired by Cristiano Ronaldo to come back?

However, their height wasn’t the only topic of conversation, as Brady made headlines by coming back to play for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for another season. He had announced his retirement two months ago, stating that he wanted to spend more time with his family.

However, that all changed, and no one was happier about it than Buccs fans. People did speculate that maybe it was Brady’s conversation with Cristiano Ronaldo that made him change his mind about retiring. He announced his return just a day after Ronaldo’s hattrick.

Brady has some unfinished business

Regardless, he’s back now and he’ll want to add another super-bowl victory to his seven wins. Brady did win the super-bowl with Tampa Bay in his first season with the club and revealed that he has unfinished business in a Twitter post.

These past two months I’ve realized my place is still on the field and not in the stands. That time will come. But it’s not now. I love my teammates, and I love my supportive family. They make it all possible. I’m coming back for my 23rd season in Tampa,” Brady wrote.
