The World Cup in Qatar is coming up and the national teams are becoming clearer every single day. Nations like France and Brazil are the favorites to win the entire tournament, but this time, the likes of England, Spain, and Argentina are in the mix too.
England reached the semi-final of the World Cup in 2018 and their team has only improved in the last four years. Harry Kane has kept up his incredibly high standards and the emergence of young stars like Phil Foden, Jude Bellingham, and Trent Alexander-Arnold is a great asset for the national team.
With this blend of youth and experience, Gareth Southgate’s men will be fun to watch in Qatar.

Tariq Lamptey might represent Ghana
However, the incredible squad depth in this team has meant that other young stars of this team might not even make it. One of those players is Brighton defender Tariq Lamptey. The Chelsea academy graduate has been one of the best right-backs in the league in the past two seasons.
He’s incredibly fast and can dribble past defenders at will. He has improved his crossing with Brighton and is still only 21. Given his incredible form, Lamptey was called up to the England U-21 squad. However, he asked to be left out of the squad and is thinking about representing Ghana.
Ghana has made an approach to the young star and Lamptey has asked for some time to assess his options.
