Cristiano Ronaldo is one of the most famous athletes on the planet and he has a fan following going into the millions. The Portuguese forward also has the most followers on Instagram and it seems like former UFC champions Jose Aldo is one of them.

Ronaldo uploaded a post on Instagram on New Year’s Eve where he talked about his 2021. He scored 47 goals in all competitions for club and country, but he wasn’t satisfied with Manchester United’s performances. Still, he hoped to turn it all around and wished everyone a Happy New Year and promised to do better on the pitch.

Jose Aldo wishes Cristiano Ronaldo a Happy New Year as well

Former UFC featherweight champion Jose Aldo commented on the same post and wished Ronaldo and his family a happy new year as well. “Happy new year to you and your family,” Aldo wrote.

Aldo is not the only MMA star on Ronaldo’s radar as the Portuguese forward has met with both Khabib Nurmagomedov and Conor McGregor. He is a fan of the sport and has said that he would rather watch MMA than football on TV.

The 35-year-old is still competing in the Bantamweight division of the UFC and is ranked number three in the official rankings. He is currently on a three-fight winning streak and is trying to become a UFC Champion again after losing his belt in 2016.

Ronaldo promises to bring Manchester United back to its glory days

Aside from listing the accomplishments, he was grateful for, Ronaldo also said that he wasn’t happy with what he had achieved with Manchester United this season. He spoke for the entire squad and said that they weren’t satisfied with their results and will do better to improve.

I’m not happy with what we are achieving in Man. United. None of us are happy, I’m sure of that. We know that we have to work harder, play better and deliver way more than we are delivering right now,” Ronaldo wrote.
