Footballers are some of the most adored (and hated) people on the planet. Their fans absolutely love them for everything they do. Thousands of children also look up to them, and try to emulate them. Jack Grealish is one such footballer who always makes time for his fans.

He made headlines when he took some time out for a young fan during the Euros. England had just lost the final against Italy on penalties and Grealish was devastated. However, he went into the stands and gave the fan his pair of boots, while posing for a photo.

The fan, named Oliver, has met several footballers along with his dad and brother, Dan. However, it was his interaction with Grealish that helped him gain a lot of popularity and both the father and his son hold the Manchester City star in high light.

As a result, young Oliver decided to thank his idol during a match in Manchester. The fan handed a thank you note for Grealish to City manager Pep Guardiola, who acted as the middle man in this scenario. However, meeting Pep is a huge deal in itself.

Oliver’s dad revealed that they traveled to Manchester all the way from Essex, just to give Grealish the thank you note. The City star is adored by England and City supporters.

Jack Grealish impresses in his first match at the Etihad Stadium

It was a great day for Grealish and City as the Premier League champions completely dominated Norwich City in a 5-0 rout. Jack Grealish was also among the goals and got an assist for his efforts too. Aymeric Laporte, Raheem Sterling, and Riyad Mahrez were the other three goalscorers after Tim Krul’s own goal started the proceedings.

However, City’s Brazilian striker Gabriel Jesus was the man of the moment as his work rate impressed his manager. Jesus ended the game with two assists to his name and will likely feature more prominently for City this season. It’ll be interesting to see how Pep Guardiola shuffles all of his big players around.
