David Beckham is one of the most recognizable footballers on the planet, and not just for his off-field popularity. The Englishman was one of the best footballers on the planet during his time in the Premier League with Manchester United and then for Real Madrid in Spain.
Currently retired, he has a glittering career to rest on and he has also played for other clubs like Paris Saint Germain, AC Milan, and LA Galaxy in the MLS. Moreover, he is also the part-owner of an MLS club, Inter Miami. However, his records aren’t infallible anymore as they break one by one.

Kevin De Bruyne equals David Beckham’s record for total assists in the Premier League
In the 11 years that David Beckham spent in England, he spent 10 of those at United, with a loan spell at Preston North End, accounting for the other year. The former England captain managed to score a whopping 62 goals for the club and added 80 more assists in the Premier League during that time, playing a total of 262 games.
He was ninth on the all-time list for Premier League assists, and his tally has now been equalled by Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne. The Belgian has played for Chelsea and Manchester City in the Premier League but has become the best midfielder in the world in Manchester Blue.
He has now recorded 80 assists in 194 Premier League games, almost 70 fewer than Beckham’s, and is placed joint 9th in the list. The record is held by Beckham’s teammate Ryan Giggs with 162 assists, and KdB has a long way to go before getting to that tally. However, if he keeps on playing like this, he has a chance of reaching that.

De Bruyne and his stats for Manchester City
The Belgian has played 17 games for Manchester City this season and has scored six goals, along with two assists. However, his peak came in the 2019-20 season when he played 35 games for the blues and scored 13 goals, getting a record-equalling 20 assists to go with them.
Along with his 80 assists, he also has 48 goals in the Premier League and is on track to beat David Beckham’s numbers if he keeps on playing the way he is.
