Manchester United finally announced the sacking of their Norwegian manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer after he spent three years at the helm of the club. Messages of support for Ole came from far and wide as fans still respect the club legend a lot, and David Beckham joined the queue, too.
The former Manchester United academy graduate and superstar responded to the post where United’s official account announced the sacking, with a heartfelt message.
“The most gracious man in the room,” Beckham wrote under United’s post, which thanked Ole Gunnar Solskjaer for his time at the club.

Beckham and Solskjaer were teammates for a long time at Manchester United before the Englishmen left the Premier League for Real Madrid. However, Beckham was still there when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored the iconic UEFA Champions League final winner in added time to help United win the title against Bayern Munich. It was an iconic comeback, and United fans will thank Ole for it forever.
Ole’s removal was a long time coming after a horrible string of performances from his squad. United had failed to win any trophies in the past three years and the strain on the squad was visible. While a few players stepped their game up and performed out of their shoes, like David De Gea, others failed to emulate the club’s Spanish goalkeeper.

Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has built a great team at Manchester United and the mess that he was left with back in 2018 has long since gone. If the Reds sign a central defensive midfielder, then the club would surely become one of the best teams in the world.
Nevertheless, all the United fans who were calling for Solskjaer’s resignation will have a bittersweet taste in their mouths after the extent of the time offered to the manager and his lack of output with regard to the same.
