The way things are going at Manchester United this season have left a bitter taste in the mouths of the club’s fans. The start of the season was a false dawn that left fans hoping for a victorious season, with Cristiano Ronaldo at the helm of it all, but it was not to be.
After being knocked out of all cup competitions in macabre fashion, the league was the only source of hope for the Reds. However, the losses have continued to mount up, and their 1-0 loss against a relegation-threatened Everton has made it even worse.
Ronaldo started the match and could do nothing at all as United failed to create any meaningful chances. As a result, one might expect that the headlines might mention his name. However, his actions after the game took things to another level altogether.

Ronaldo’s altercation with the young fan
While walking down the tunnel, Ronaldo smacked a smartphone away from an Everton fan in a show of anger and frustration. Things immediately got serious as the Everton police claimed to look into the incident as one of assault, but nothing has come out of it yet.
Ronaldo’s sister, Elma Aviero, took to Instagram to defend her brother amidst the controversy. She called Ronaldo the most beautiful human being and urged him to “shut everyone up” with his performances.
“The most beautiful human being I’ve known in the world. A light that only bothers those who live in darkness. My dear brother, you don’t have to prove anything to anyone and you give the answer afterwards to shut everyone up,” she wrote.
