The Blues finally began their Premier League campaign in the yesterday. While Thomas Tuchel had a host of options, the German opted to give a chance to young guns like Christian Pulisic and Timo Werner in the attack. The free flowing attack was on full display in the season opener against Crystal Palace.
Playing in the Stamford Bridge against a slow-footed Palace side, Chelsea were pretty much dominant from the first minute of the game. Pulisic especially was electric from the very first minute of the game. With his electrifying pace and his dribbling skills, the American was a problem for the Palace defense. He was finally rewarded for his tenacity.
While Palace goalkeeper Vicente Guaita initially saved a cross from Mason Mount, Pulisic pounced on to the rebound and put a fine finish to the goal. After his fantastic finish, the American celebrated in some style.

With such a loaded roster, ‘the Blues’ have all the depth in their roster. But this might be a headache for the German manager. Locking in on a prominent starting lineup will be key to gain some much needed stability.
Given the performance Pulisic had against Crystal Palace, the American might be making a great case for him as a starter. If the 22-year-old can continue to produce performances like this add in goal contributions, he will surely be a mainstay in the starting 11.
