Neymar Jr. may have to wait a bit longer before making his debut for his new club, Al Hilal. The Saudi outfit has settled a staggering $418 million worth of deal with the Brazilian attacker. But, as per Al Hilal head coach Jorge Jesus’s statement, an ankle injury could delay Neymar’s first game for the club until September.

Contradicting the opinion of Jesus, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) guarantees Neymar Jr.’s availability for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers for Brazil.

Al Hilal Coach Jorge Jesus has expressed his disappointment at Neymar’s call-up to the Brazilian national team. Jesus believes that Neymar is not fit to play and assures that the Brazilian is ‘injured.’ The gaffer was quick to clarify that Neymar’s readiness for international duty was in doubt. He said, “I don’t know how the Brazilian national team (could have) called him, he is not ready.”

Maybe they’ll force him to go to Brazil. He won’t play because he can’t play. He won’t train already. Today I don’t see any reason for him to leave for Brazil.” Jesus believes that calling Neymar Jr. up for international duty would be a big mistake and could set him back in his recovery. However, the Al Hilal head coach’s comments contradicted CBF’s vision as the confederation guarantees Neymar’s fitness for the upcoming WC qualifiers, as reported by Record.

CBF is confident of Neymar’s fitness

Despite the concerns of Al Hilal coach Jorge Jesus, the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) is confident that Neymar will be fit to play in the upcoming World Cup qualifiers. The authorities said that they have communicated with Neymar’s medical team and believe he’ll be sufficiently in good shape to be included in the squad.
