With his lethal goal-scoring skills and predatorial instincts inside the box, he is no stranger to breaking records and delivering for his team. Even at the age of 38, he is showing no signs of slowing down.

The Portuguese superstar has etched his name into the history books once again by setting another goal-scoring record and breaking into the top 10 all-time leading goal-scorers for Al Nassr. Ronaldo, who arrived at Al Nassr in January, achieved this feat in just seven months of joining the club.

Ronaldo’s Clutch Goals Lead to First Silverware With Al Nassr

Since joining the Saudi Pro League side, Al Nassr in January, CR7 has been essential to the club’s success this season. He has scored some crucial goals which kept Al Nassr in the leading race for the title till the very end. His brace against fellow rivals Al Hilal in the Arab Club Champions Cup Final helped Al Nassr to grab their hands on their first trophy after a long time. It was also the first silverware for the five-time Ballon d’Or winner after 2021.

After Al Hilal’s Michael Delgado handed them an early lead in the second half, and Al Nassr’s Abdul Al Amri sent off with a straight red, it was Cristiano Ronaldo, who stepped up for the moment and equalized the game for Al Nassr keeping their title hopes alive. Ronaldo fired the winning goal for his side in extra time from a rebound, successfully securing the comeback for Al Nassr. But, the talismanic attacker was unfortunately taken off the pitch after sustaining an injury with five minutes left in the game.

Despite his transfer to Al-Nassr resulting in a trophyless season, Ronaldo’s contribution was evident as the team secured the runners-up position in the Saudi Pro League. The 38-year-old’s prowess was showcased through his six goals in the Arab Champions Cup, making him the tournament’s leading scorer and clinching his first trophy with the Saudi Arabian side.

Cristiano Ronaldo poised to break more records

Ronaldo’s match-winning brace against Al Hilal in the final took his tally for Al Nassr to 20 goals in just 25 appearances. Looking at his performance metrics for the club, it is evident that he is fully committed to shattering more records for the club. With him scoring a goal every 110 minutes and a goals-per-match ratio of 0.8x, it seems to be a daunting task for opponent teams to stop him.

Ronaldo has already scored more goals for Al Nassr than he did in his first 25 appearances for any other club in his career. He is on track to compete for the all-time top goal-scoring charts for Al Nassr and is only 12 goals behind 6th-placed Yahya Al-Shehri, which he is likely to surpass in the next few months.

Ronaldo and his teammates will keep their eyes fixed on the Saudi Pro League title and will hope to conquer the league this time. Al Nassr will resume their triumph for the Pro League when they face Al-Taawoun on Friday, 18th August at Al Awal Park, Riyadh.
