When Ryan Reynolds took over Wrexham, he had one dream. To take them up to the English Premier League in the future and bring success to one of the oldest soccer clubs in England. Similarly, NHL is looking at investors for the ice hockey team Ottawa Senators for a potential suitor to create their own legacy. Therefore, the NHL commissioner Gary Bettman looked at the capability of Reynolds investing in the franchise.

Moreover, WWE superstar and actor Dwayne Johnson also entered the bidding war to catch hold of the valuable franchise. Earlier, there were reports of investors bidding up to $925 million to take over the team. The bidding war intensifies as Deadpool and the Rock would probably enter a financial muscle showdown. A similar success story to Wrexham?

The first thing Reynolds looks set to do is not to relocate the franchise to another city. Obviously, the fans would love that. Not only does he want to own a franchise, but he also wants to build the team for the future. There is no other example as good as Wrexham. They set one of the oldest English soccer clubs in the world for promotion to the EFL League Two. Hence, with the Senators not performing well, Reynolds’ passion to be the best can work out well.
