It is without a doubt that Alex Morgan has become an iconic presence in the world of soccer. She has successfully marked her presence in the US National Women’s Soccer Team (USWNT) as one of the most successful players.
In 2022, Morgan even outclassed 15x richer Tennis star, Naomi Osaka. While Naomi amassed an immense wealth of $45 million due to her grand slam victories over the last couple of years, Alex Morgan has a balance of $3 million to show for it. However, this didn’t prevent her from beating Osaka to become the most endorsed female athlete of 2022.

Alex Morgan could add to her riches with the upcoming World Cup
As we all know, the Women’s FIFA World Cup 2023 is right around the corner. The competition takes place this summer in Australia and New Zealand. The US team is certainly looking strong and will surely be roaring to win for the third time in a row. If this is achieved, then players in the USWNT like Morgan could earn nearly $430k due to the collective bargaining agreements.
In a historic accomplishment, U.S. Soccer, @USMNT and @USWNT have come together to agree to new collective bargaining agreements that will run through 2028 and achieve true equal pay – including equalization of World Cup prize money.

This is seen through the agreed contract between US Soccer and the men’s and women union. It was seen when the US Men’s national team won their world cup match against Iran in 2022., the prize money for the players in the US men’s team was approximately $380,000 for each of the 26 players in the squad.
USWNT is only going in with 23 players, meaning each will earn around $430,434, if they end up winning the tournament. This would help Morgan and the other star players on the team to accumulate further wealth. Alex Morgan seems to be on a roll as just four months prior, she became the highest-endorsed female athlete of 2022.
Morgan surpassed Naomi Osaka and Serena Williams
The 2022 SportsUnited Brand Partnership Report crowned Alex Morgan as the most endorsed female athlete of the year. Her 27 different brand deals that include Google, AT&T, Coke, and many more are more than any other woman in sports.
