While speaking to someone on the phone, Keeley says, “I understand. I just don’t think Ms. Welton will have a whole lot to say about the unfair advantage of being a female owner in sports. Thank you”. Keely slams the phone down. She then shockingly says, “F**k you, Joe Rogan”. The fans have gone absolutely crazy on Twitter in the last few hours.

Without a doubt, the fans cannot control their excitement. Certainly, nobody was expecting a reference like this one. Adding context to the scene, Keeley was in her own brand-new office. After her success at AFC Richmond, she had the opportunity to start her own PR firm and she gladly took it. On the other hand, Ted is seriously questioning his life’s choices after he continues to struggle in England.
While this scene from Ted Lasso continues to make the headlines, the amount of impact this show has had in America is unimaginable.
Ted Lasso is a blessing for soccer in America!
The debate between football and soccer will go on for generations. Saying the word ‘soccer’ in the UK went out of fashion more than 30 years ago. However, Americans never changed soccer to football. While the names stayed different, it is hard to deny soccer’s rapid growth in America. But the MLS and the NWSL are not the only contributing factors to soccer’s meteoric rise in America.

The added aspect of drama and entertainment gathered eyeballs like never before. Even ‘Welcome to Wrexham’ has gained an immense fan following from the US itself. Americans who once never understood the offside rule are now panic buying their newly favorite soccer team’s jerseys, like Wrexham AFC.
