Months After Sharing Adidas’ Iconic Ad, Khabib Nurmagomedov Sounds off Nike’s Trademark Following Real Madrid’s El Clasico Win Over Barcelona

The world of soccer witnessed one hell of a beatdown of Barcelona by Real Madrid yesterday in the El-Clasico. Fans were stunned with their jaws dropped as Karim Benzema scored his second back-to-back hat trick. Among many fans, there was UFC undefeated legend Khabib Nurmagomedov.

After Barca led 1-0 in the first leg of the semifinal matchup of the Copa del Rey, Real Madrid knocked them out of the cup yesterday in their own home. The La Liga table toppers lost the match 4-0 at Camp Nou. Among many other celebrities and athletes, Nurmagomedov also took some time out to congratulate the winning team.

It wasn’t the first time fans connect the UFC legend to soccer. He has repeatedly talked about how he is a fan of Cristiano Ronaldo and Khabib was present in a few knockout matches and the final of the Qatar World Cup 2022. This time it was a subtle nod to the magnificent performance of the team and Karim Benzema.

Khabib Nurmagomedov has a three-word reaction

Having done an Adidas advertisement months ago, Khabib’s reaction to the Real Madrid win sounded odd. Sharing a picture of the Final scoreline along with Karim Benzema the former UFC Champion wrote, “Just do It!” which is the trademark of Adidas’ rival Nike. However, fans didn’t mind him writing the tag.

About a couple of years back, Khabib shared an iconic Adidas soccer advert. It was a wee bit edited to include Khabib in it. It left fans in stitches, while some were scratching their head as they struggle to understand what even was happening in the clip.

Fans have also spotted Khabib watching soccer matches along with stars. He attended FIFA WC Final in Qatar and was spotted and clicked with soccer extraordinaire Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba. The picture had caused fans to decent into turmoil about who would win a fight in the three.

Always been a Real Madrid fan

Khabib has not only been a soccer fan for a long time, but he has also been a vocal Real Madrid fan. During Qatar WC, he posted his support for Croatian legendary midfielder Luka Modric as they were about to face Lionel Messi’s Argentina in the semifinals.
