Serena Williams and her husband Alexis Ohanian have been making huge strides when it comes to their investments. The two already have a massive fortune and continue to expand their investment portfolio to different industries. However, their most notable investment came in 2020, when they joined the likes of Natalie Portman, Uzo Aduba, Jessica Chastain, America Ferrera, Jennifer Garner, and Eva Longoria as the owner of the NWSL team, Angel City FC, However, after them, Patrick Mahomes has invested in the women’s soccer with his wife.

Patrick Mahomes’s wife Brittany Mahomes has been a soccer player in the past. So there is already a massive love for the game of soccer in the Mahomes family. Mahomes already is a co-owner of Sporting Kansas City, which plays in the MLS. Now, he expanded his portfolio to women’s soccer in the USA.

Patrick Mahomes and Brittany Mahomes are no part owners of Kansas’ NWSL franchise Kansas City Current. Apart from Angel City FC, Alexis Ohanian has a few other investments in soccer firms. He has previously invested in Sorare and Gloria, which have touched new heights since his arrival as an investor.

The arrival of Patrick Mahomes will make the upcoming NWSL season exciting with so many American celebrities investing heavily in women’s soccer. The FIFA Women’s World Cup is coming this year and the US Women’s team has an opportunity to complete a three-peat, after winning the 2015 and 2019 editions.
