The two-time Australian Open winner started following the Parisians when English superstar David Beckham played for them. Beckham was at PSG for the half-season in 2013, and it was sufficient for the Belarusian to support PSG. It has been ten years now, and Azarenka has been supporting the Parisians.
Azarenka’s son has carried the trend of his mom supporting PSG and has a dream of playing for the club one day. Azarenka said, “He wants to play in Paris St Germain, that’s his dream. I’m a soccer mom now and I love that. I’m obnoxious, like absolutely the most obnoxious.”
“It’s a completely different emotion for me to support my son. I have no shame in screaming for him, like zero. But I’m very supportive. I want him to do well, I want him to achieve his dreams,” added the Belarusian. Azarenka, after splitting up with her partner, has custody of her son, who accompanies the tennis star on the tours. It’s a soccer vs football debate between the two. Leo calls the sport soccer, while Azarenka refers to it as football.
