“Got Some Natural Abilities in Tennis” – Serena Williams’ Husband Alexis Ohanian Undecided on Daughter Olympia’s Favorite Sport as She Enjoys Both Soccer and Tennis

Serena Williams and Alexis Ohanian are probably one of the most influential couples in the women’s soccer scene. Only a few names can match the impact these names had in NWSL in the past few years. Countless times these stars have come on record to talk about their love and dedication to the League.

Serena Williams was talking about USWNT and other women soccer players before it was a trend. It has come to a point that their kid Olympia is making headlines from the soccer pitch despite being only half a decade old.

Alexis Ohanian is a big part of Angel City FC, being the lead investor in what can only be called a star-filled ownership group. Julie Uhrman and Hollywood sensation Natalie Portman found the organization in 2019. The dream became a reality in 2022 when the team played their first season and finished respectably.

Alexis Ohanian talked about Serena Williams and Olympia

In a podcast with great soccer journalist late Grant Wahl a year ago he talked about how soccer is kind of taking over in her family and how they are linked with Angel City FC. Alexis Ohanian officially made Serena Williams and her daughter Olympia stakeholders in the club.

While talking about that and how Olympia is growing, he said, “Yeah, I brought the family. It was a weird gift, for sure. But, I felt like it was the least I could do is bring the family into it”.

Wahl then asked about how engaged Serena and Olympia are in soccer. Alexis said, “Obviously, Serena got a lot of day jobs. Olympia, though, I mean she is three and a half but it’s right now neck and neck between how much she enjoys playing football vs tennis.”

“So, it’s definitely an easier onramp of the sport coz you know just about any kid can just kick a ball around, so she started with footie first. But, I think she has got some natural abilities in tennis as well. So we keep her active and she’ll do whatever she wants to do. But right now she is not making any really important decisions or suggestions.“

A couple of days ago Alexis Ohanian surprised fans when he announced one of the bigger projects. He took it to Twitter and posted a couple of stills, which was him in an interview setting in front of cameras.

He in his caption revealed that the interview was part of a new docu-series for Angel City FC. The Reddit co-founder, it seems, is inspired by NBA legend Michael Jordan and his blueprint series ‘The Last Dance’.
