Her photo on the training ground caught the eye of Alexis Ohanian, who couldn’t hold his excitement to see her return to action. The Reddit founder retweeted the photo with the caption, “Things we love to see.” It seems the famous internet entrepreneur was happy with the good news.

Press had been out of action since last June. The forward sustained an ACL injury during Angel City’s 3-2 victory against Racing Louisville in the NWSL. Typically, the recovery period for such an injury is approximately nine months. However, the two-time World Cup champion had to undergo three knee surgeries on her road to recovery.

Nevertheless, it seems she might be able to get featured in the World Cup after all. Press will also be looking to return to her domestic side, who recently suffered a huge defeat.

The Los Angeles-based club recently endured a shock 4-1 defeat against Megan Rapinoe’s OL Reign. However, a brilliant performance from the home side destroyed ACFC’s hopes of making a comeback. Rapinoe’s side put three past Alyssa Thompson’s side. A brace from Veronica Latsko and a goal from Quinn easily helped them clinch three points. Moreover, Rapinoe clinched a hat trick of assists. Indeed, it is a shocking defeat for Freya Coombe’s side.
