All the celebrities who came to watch the game got their money’s worth after a sensational performance. But the injury to Jared McCann proved to be the only dent along the way. Although the Seattle coach was exasperated, Maker came out to explain his point of view. According to ESPN, Maker mentioned, “It’s unfortunate. I never want to injure guys. Hopefully, he’s all right. At the end of the day … I didn’t feel like I tried to finish him that hard. But, I mean, I feel like if I was in that scenario, they would have done the exact same thing. I’m not trying to hurt anybody.”

The player will miss out on some games as the Krakens lie in fourth place in the Pacific Division standings. Hopefully, they can rally forward and win the next game in the absence of McCann. Nevertheless, the injured star can rest assured knowing that he will be spurred on by the USWNT stars and WNBA legend Sue Bird.
