Days After Receiving $925,000,000 Target, Washington Commanders’ $6 Billion Sale Might Impact Wrexham Owner Ryan Reynolds’ Senators Bid

The Ryan Reynolds-led Wrexham soccer club is going places. The owners have made incredible progress with the club, and fans are excited to see the promotion push. After the success with Wrexham, Reynolds looks to invest in the NHL team, Ottawa Senators. It’s been several months since bidders have looked to buy the franchise. However, things have slowed down, and the bidders want a deadline day for the final process to be completed. Aiming to take the franchise in a similar approach to Wrexham, Reynolds has another shark in the cage with a Toronto-based billionaire looking to purchase the team. 

Steve Apostolopoulos had earlier looked to buy the NFL franchise Washington Commanders. But, things went south. Now, he is swimming in the bidders’ pool with his jaws firmly set on the Senators. 

Ryan Reynolds’ Ottawa Senators bid in jeopardy!

For most people, the Remington group led by Reynolds is the frontrunner for the final bidding process. According to Ottawa Citizens, he and famous developer Chris Bratty aim to purchase the ice hockey team. The team’s valuation is more than $900 million, and teams are lining up to bid for the team. But, the failed Washington Commanders takeover attempt by Apostolopoulos provides a twist to the tale. The sale of the Commanders went to a group led by Philadelphia 76ers owner Josh Harris for $6 billion. Hence, the Senators are in the eyes of Steve. 

The billionaire attended the Senators’ 3-0 loss to Toronto Maple Leafs on April 1. Failure to complete the Commanders and Steve showing up in the game drew various conclusions. The Melnyk family put the Senators on sale, and several fish in the sea are looking to pounce on the franchise.
