NFL fans got a bit sad this week when JJ Watt announced his retirement after the coming match against the San Francisco 49ers. He had already announced that this will be his last season. We will remember him as the most dominant defensive player of his time. Fans are hoping for him to be the first-ballot Hall of Famer. He was recently married to his partner Kealia Watt. She became a mother on 23rd October 2020. Kealia had sent a very emotional message to the star just before his last game.

The 3 times NFL Defensive player of the year and 2017 NFL Man of the year JJ Watt played his last game on 9th Jan 2023 against the SF 49ers. The NFL star has 586 tackles in his decorated football career. Fans are surely sad to see him go like this, but every good thing must come to an end.

The night before, JJ was going to play his last match. His team arranged a tribute video for him. The video featured some of the most prominent names from his personal and professional life.

It started with his brother TJ Watt, then came big names like Aaron Rodgers, Peyton Manning, Dakota Prescott, his biggest opponent Tom Brady, and Derek watt. Both of his parents were also there to talk about how he made them proud.

After his parents, Kealia Watt talked about the great of a human JJ is. She said, “It has been such an honor to watch you work your a** off these past years. And do whatever you needed to do to be the best, and you have always been so generous and kind and loving to everybody around you and you never forgot who you are.“

JJ was sitting there watching everyone and crying uncontrollably. Watching such a great legacy he builds coming to an end must be hard for the NFL star. However, he will be moving on and starting a new chapter of his life. A life where he can spend more time with his wife and the kid.

Will he be eying for owning the NWSL team?

With this kind of personality, JJ is not going to be seated idly at home. In a recent conversation, when he was asked about owning a soccer team, he said, “It definitely interests me. There’s definitely an interest there for me… I do think a percentage of a soccer team would definitely interest me.”
