It’s just a matter of time before League One’s most enthralling match gets underway. On Monday night, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney-backed Wrexham AFC will travel to St. Andrew’s Stadium to face Tom Brady‘s formidable Birmingham City. The much-anticipated clash has the whole town talking as it is a derby of A-listers. With that, the question is not regarding the presence of any star player from either side, but about whether Brady would be present to host the Hollywood owners-backed Welsh club.
After curtaining his illustrious footballing career, Brady pursued his investor journey in the beautiful game last summer, having acquired a minority stake as low as 3.3% in the Blues. However, his role as a celebrity owner with the club is relatively minor compared to the involvement of R.R. McReynolds Company, which holds a 95% share in Wrexham, the Welsh club.
With both sides now facing each other, we might get to see Tom Brady attend the match. His company alone at St. Andrew’s will bring more excitement to the game and the New England Patriots icon will surely clear his schedule to support his team. While the NFL icon’s presence looks certain on the cards, the question should also be asked by the rival side.

It’s a rare sighting to see either Reynolds or McElhenney mark their presence for an away fixture. However, considering that Brady may come to support his beloved side, the Hollywood duo might make an exception and will undoubtedly take their time out for the clash. All three American A-listers will be looking to sit together at stands and bet on their respective sides.
Notably, Wrexham—a newly promoted side from League Two—has endured a great start to their campaign so far, sitting at the top of the EFL League One table and having accumulated 13 points in 5 games. On the other hand, Birmingham—a relegated side from the Championship—is just three points deficit to the Red Dragons, sitting in fifth place.
Certainly, either side would be looking to clinch the crucial three points. While that’s the fight they would be seeming to do on the pitch, an off-pitch battle had already begun even before the kick-off.

Earlier, Wrexham AFC’s official X account shared that Eli Manning, a legendary quarterback, has joined Wrexham in support ahead of the Birmingham face-off. “We are honoured that @Elimanning has coincidentally, (because Co-chairmen @RMcElhenney & @VancityReynolds begged him) joined the @Wrexham_AFC fanbase, just in time for our match over at @TomBrady’s @BCFC on Monday night.”
Shortly after this announcement, Manning didn’t hold back. The former Giants QB, known for beating Brady twice in Super Bowl XLII and XLVI during his 15-year career with the New York Giants, posted, “Now I can beat @TomBrady in football and fútbol! Go @Wrexham_AFC!” But wait! Never missing a playful jab, Brady gave a brilliant response!
The 47-year-old Brady shared a playful video on X, calling out Manning. “So I’ve been working on a little response video. Eli and I are looking around the house, but I can’t find the other six of these,” Brady joked, referencing his seven Super Bowl rings. He then asked Wrexham co-owner Rob McElhenney to “educate Wrexham fans… on the history of the NFL,” before finishing with a sarcastic, “Thanks bud. Appreciate all. See you Monday.”
