However, there are external factors that affected the decision of McKennie. He played a major role in the magical US defense that only conceded one goal in the group stage run. Fans have high hope for the star as he is making moves in Europe.

While talking about how he became a soccer player, he said that his father had a big role to play in this decision. He said, “Probably playing American football, to be completely honest. I played that before I moved to Germany because my dad was in the military. That’s one of the reasons I started playing soccer, because they didn’t have that for my age over there in Germany.”
