The former Patriots offensive guard was first asked about his thoughts on Leo’s decisive performance against Orlando. The NFL icon simply replied to what fans have been saying over the years – “Messi makes soccer look easy.” But the way he delivered his sentiments has won the hearts of La Pulga’s fanbase.

“This is just too easy. It is just too easy,” said Woody. “It’s like taking candy from a baby. It’s almost like he is stealing right now. With the revenue and everything that’s coming his way, he gotta go play against these cupcakes? Life is sweet,” said the former Detroit Lions player hilariously. Ever since Lionel Messi joined the MLS, there has not been a single match where the former PSG star hasn’t managed to impact a match with his performance. He started his MLS career with a bang thanks to a decisive last-minute free-kick winner against Cruz Azul. In the next match, Leo scored a brace and an assist against Atlanta United to send Miami to the knockout round of the Leagues Cup. He continued his exploits yet again last night when he scored two goals to qualify further in the Leagues Cup.

Thanks to his exploits, Leo has amassed an impressive 6G/A in his first three matches. Miami Head Coach Tata Martino was then quipped about his thoughts on Messi. Martino nonchalantly replied by implying that it is what was expected from Messi. “We are talking about a player that scored 40 goals in a season. It makes sense for him to score four goals in three matches,” said Martino with an air of confidence.
