In a recent interview with Daily Mail, Kealia mentioned, “But it is very cool to see globally that women don’t have to retire when they have a baby if they don’t want to. I remember at the beginning of our league in the NWSL, if you had a baby you were done, you couldn’t play anymore.” It is one of the most prevalent stereotypes in recent times. But some athletes continue to live their dreams by playing as role model moms.
Take Allyson Felix, for example. Despite experiencing a complicated delivery while giving birth to Camryn, she performed remarkably well in the track and field events. Likewise, Morgan performed admirably well and became the all-time scoring leader as a mom in USWNT history. Kealia credited her for creating a revolution amongst the women’s soccer teams.

Kealia continued, “There just wasn’t enough support and there wasn’t really a way to figure it out. Now we have over 14 women [in the NWSL] playing that have kids. It’s really cool to see that growth and people like Alex Morgan and so many players in our league have done an incredible job in advocating for our rights.”

Giving birth to her daughter Charlie in 2020, she became the 13th woman to play for the USWNT and was the eighth player to score a goal. Morgan and Charlie always post pictures exciting their fans.
