FIFA World Cup is in the final stage, and we are just two days away from the final between Argentina and France. It was a roller coaster ride. Big names like Belgium and Germany weren’t able to go past the group stages. Morocco proved to be a dark horse as they reached the semifinals for the first time in the history of the World Cup.

Luka Modric led Croatia to new heights and made it to back-to-back semifinals, although they did not make it to the finals this time. Lionel Messi will play in the finals again after 2014 and will look to guide Argentina to glory. France will be determined to win the second World Cup in a row, and we can see an entertaining final when Argentina and France lock horns.

Tom Brady with a friendly dig at Cristiano Ronaldo in a World Cup commercial

As mentioned earlier, it is the first World Cup in winter. Fox Soccer released a commercial before the tournament with a view of the tournament colliding with the winter holidays.

The commercial featured American actor John Hamm, actress Ellie Kemper, and NFL legend Tom Brady. Tom Brady, a 45-year-old quarterback who plays for Tampa Bay Buccaneers, was seen mocking Cristiano Ronaldo over his age in the commercial. Brady said, “He’s getting kind of old, isn’t he?” during the commercial when Cristiano Ronaldo was featured in his masterclass against Spain in the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The seven-time Super Bowl champion in his 22nd season came out of brief retirement at the start of the season. He became the oldest quarterback to start an NFL game in history. He proved that age is just a number, and then talking about Ronaldo’s age in the commercial made it interesting.

Tom Brady visited Old Trafford earlier this year

After announcing his retirement in February this year, Brady visited Old Trafford for Manchester United’s game against Tottenham Hotspur in March. The two GOATs met after the game, which United won 3-2 with the help of Ronaldo’s hat trick.

We saw the two legends in the middle of the pitch after the game having a discussion. Brady’s son got the match-winning jersey of Ronaldo during that time. It was a few days after the Manchester visit, and seeing Ronaldo still at the top, Brady announced he was coming out of retirement and playing his 22nd season in NFL.
