Brees, the former Super Bowl winner, and MVP, took to Instagram to share his feelings about the club. It came after he got his hands on a Wrexham AFC hat recently. He shared the pic on Instagram and wrote, “Just got my Wrexham AFC hat in the mail.” He also recommended his followers to watch a docuseries about the club. He wrote, “If you haven’t watched the Welcome To Wrexham series yet, I highly recommend it.”

The club kept trying for promotion without success. Again questions were raised over the club’s status when the COVID pandemic pushed the club into financial dire.
But the Wrexham community and players deserved more. And they got it in the form of Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney. The fortunes of the club turned. The community got more involved. From an unknown club in Wales’s lower division, the club is rising to fame. The new sponsorship deals are flowing. Wrexham will go to the US for a preseason tour. And to top that, the club will play in the fourth division next season.
