They have been garnering immense popularity and fame since the beginning of the season. In fact, the major thanks go to its Hollywood owners, Ryan Reynolds, and Rob McElhenney.

Both have led the way to a path of glory. For now, the club is celebrating its brilliant promotion. The celebrations have been quite wild, as Reynold’s side can’t stop showering champagne. Even Wrexham fans can’t stop celebrating. But you might be surprised to hear, how the club’s biggest fan celebrated the weekend’s win. And hearing his story has left ex-NFL presenter Laura Woods in stitches.

Ex-NFL presenter reacts to Wrexham fans’ crazy celebrations

Recently, while hosting her podcast show at talkSPORT, Woods invited an avid Wrexham supporter, Karl ‘Bootlegger’ Phillips, who shared his story of celebration. Following the win, several players joined some fans for some boozy antics. Hence, on the show, Phillips revealed how he ended up in the same pub with Wrexham stars.

“I went for a quiet bit of dinner yesterday to the Fat Boar pub in town and little did I know that the whole team were upstairs having dinner themselves! There’s one or two videos floating around on Twitter but little did I know I’d be dancing on the tables dancing with my top off with Ben Tozer!” said Phillips.

This left both Woods and Ally McCoist in splits as they couldn’t stop laughing. She even gave him a cheeky taunt, suggesting Tozer would have something to say about the crazy night. “He’s coming on our show later, so I’m gonna ask him about you and what really happened because I noticed you’re being a bit tight-lipped about it.”

Also known as the ‘Bootlegger,’ Philips has garnered quite a popularity on social media with his matchday videos and tweets. But it seems he’ll get more famous after that crazy night, as all his pictures of celebrating wildly have gone viral. He also opened up about his dream of meeting the owners.

Phillips’ crazy celebrations with the Wrexham stars must have given him a night to remember. While giving excruciating details about the night, he also expressed his wish to meet the Hollywood owners. “[The owners] might have heard of me, but I’m yet to meet them but hopefully one day they’ll come for a pint of Bootlegger in my kitchen.”

The ‘Bootlegger’ is already quite popular, and his celebrations definitely brought him into the limelight. In fact, that day may not be far for him when he gets to meet both Reynolds and McElhenney.
