The famous American rapper recently released the much-awaited new album called ‘Utopia.’ While his usual fans will enjoy the beats, there’s one song that may interest a few soccer and American football lovers. Apparently, in one of the songs of his album, called ‘The Meltdown’, he has given a surprise shout-out to soccer maestro Lionel Messi and ex-NFL star Tom Brady.
The lyrics of the song go like, “Your boy going Lionel Messi, I go Tom Brady.” The line comes in the third verse of the song. Indeed, it’s quite a surprise to see the $80 million worth rapper mentioning both Messi and Brady. Both soccer and NFL fans have now a reason to listen and enjoy the track. While it might be the first time to hear Brady’s name in a song, Messi has already enjoyed this moment.

Apparently, this isn’t the first time that Messi’s name has been used in a song. Earlier in 2021, Kanye West dropped his album “Donda.” Hence, in one of the songs named ‘Off the Grid,’ he took the World Cup winner’s name. The lyrics were, “Don’t try to test me. I keep it clean, but they could get messy. I talk to God every day. That’s my bestie. They playin’ soccer in my backyard. I think I see Messi.”

Another famous rapper, Drake, also mentioned not only the Argentine but also Portuguese superstar Cristiano Ronaldo. In the second verse of his song called, ‘ I’M ON ONE,’ he sang, “I’m just all about my goals like I’m Messi, what,” and “Bein’ messy, s**t do not impress me, what.” Likewise, he sang for CR7: “Take her to see Cristiano, f**k her in that Benz Viano,” and “Champions League s**t, there’ll be a driver for you on arrival.” It clearly points out the impact the GOATs have even on pop culture.
