Manchester United is one of the biggest and most successful clubs in the world. They have a rich history and 66 major trophies to their name. It is estimated to be worth $4.6 billion. And now the club is up for sale after owners revealed they were interested in selling the club back in November 2022 following the exit of Cristiano Ronaldo.

$65 billion company eyes takeover
Sixth Street, an American investment firm, is reportedly eyeing a shocking $4.6 billion takeover of Manchester United from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers owners. The firm, which has assets totaling $65 billion, is said to be interested in investing in the Premier League team.
The firm has not yet made a formal offer to buy Manchester United outright. It’s more likely, they are simply open to the possibility of investing in the club. However, with its significant resources, the American firm would be capable of launching a successful bid.

The Glazer family, who already was owners of the NFL team Tampa Bay Buccaneers, took full control of Manchester United in 2005. There were internal disputes among the previous management of the team. Ever since the fans of the club have not been much delighted with this takeover.

The Glazers have come under fire from some Manchester United fans for their stewardship of the club.
