Sixth Street, an American investment firm, is reportedly eyeing a shocking $4.6 billion takeover of Manchester United from the Tampa Bay Buccaneers owners. The firm, which has assets totaling $65 billion, is said to be interested in investing in the Premier League team.
The firm has not yet made a formal offer to buy Manchester United outright. It’s more likely, they are simply open to the possibility of investing in the club. However, with its significant resources, the American firm would be capable of launching a successful bid.
