But with his mind-blowing overhead kick against Slovakia in Euro 2024 yesterday, the Englishman added to his high esteem in the United States. But more interestingly, the goal left one of the NFL’s best quarterbacks, Patrick Mahomes, flabbergasted, subsequently leading to an iconic exchange between the two.

The Kansas City Chiefs superstar appreciated the player by reposting the video of Bellingham’s goal on X (previously Twitter) with a one-word caption reading, “Crazy!!!!” Later, Bellingham acknowledged and thanked the compliment by replying to the post with “🫡.” Mahomes’ interest in soccer is not something new.

The football star follows the sport and also co-owns NWSL and MLS clubs, Kansas City Current and Sporting Kansas City. He was also seen cheering for his team in a few MLS games recently and displayed his familiarity with soccer by playing with YouTube streamer IShowSpeed.

On the other hand, this isn’t the first time Jude Bellingham captivated the NFL’s fraternity. The star was featured in the Champions League’s advertisement displayed at this year’s Super Bowl. Bellingham also showed his interest in the NFL through his Instagram story which was captioned “Super Bowl Sunday 😍” as he watched the event on TV earlier this year.

Apart from Mahomes, even former QB Tom Brady was left shocked by the surreal strike, He also posted on X writing, “Jude 🤯🤯🤯🤯 #EURO2024.” But that’s what it took to save England from a major embarrassment.
