A Brazilian YouTuber reportedly took his own life by jumping overboard during a three-day party on the same cruise.

This unfortunate event unfolded on December 30th, just after Neymar had disembarked from the ship. Before this tragedy, the 31-year-old had organized a grand cruise party spanning from December 26th to December 29th. Once he left, the ship set sail from Sao Paulo for another festive journey, which concluded sorrowfully.

The individual in question is Carlos Candreva, a YouTube and a part-time DJ. As reported by Eltrece, after an extensive 10-day search, it has been officially declared that the Brazilian influencer is no longer with us. According to reports, Carlos Candreva engaged in a heated argument with his girlfriend, Vitoria Bárbara Momenso, while they were on a cruise together.

Following their altercation, the social media influencer decided to end his life by leaping into the sea. The two were involved in a casual relationship for approximately two years. And tensions escalated when Candreva discovered compromising messages on Momenso’s cell phone.

The cruise ship provided a statement regarding this tragic incident, “A thorough search was conducted on board, and it was confirmed that the guest intentionally jumped into the sea.” At this time, Neymar has not addressed this event publicly. As for the Brazilian forward himself, he faces challenges because of his injury, which is still miles from complete recovery.

An update on Neymar’s injury

Neymar has been currently sidelined due to a knee injury, requiring surgery in November. Unfortunately, it appears that he also cannot participate in the Copa America 2024, as confirmed by Brazilian national team doctor Rodrigo Lasmar.

Lasmar stated, “Our expectation is that he will be prepared to return at the start of the 2024 season in Europe, which is August.” Also, this injury has forced FIFA to compensate Al Hilal with a payment of $8.2 million for Neymar’s absence. FIFA regulations mandate this reimbursement, as the injury occurred while the player was representing his national team.
