Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham AFC sits four points clear of its closest title rival in the Vanarama National League table. They extended the lead after Notts County drew in their previous game. Four points is a good cushion for the world’s third oldest soccer club, and their former legend believes the club will go all the way to gain the promotion.

When Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney decided to invest in Wrexham, their stance was clear. They wanted to build a club from scratch to make it a force to reckon with. The first step they want to take is a promotion to the football league. Wrexham narrowly missed out on the promotion last season when they went down to Grimsby Town in the playoff semifinal.
Ryan Reynolds’ Wrexham AFC legend makes big prediction
The club legend and former manager Andy Morrell made huge predictions for the ongoing season while speaking to North Wales Live recently. Morrell was part of the club when they achieved the promotion last time in 2002-03. He also came close to winning the National League in the 2011-12 season as a manager.
Morrell, while speaking on Wrexham AFC’s chances this season, said, “It’s up to Notts County now, how will they deal with returning from a couple of setbacks. I think Wrexham’s squad is so strong I think they’re massively in pole position, get a home win this weekend then it’s seven points before County play and that’s a big gap. I think your money has to be on Wrexham at the moment, with a four point lead with ten games to go.”
He feels Wrexham will win the league as the club prepares to play their final ten games. Morrell also lauded the coach Phil Parkinson for some brave decisions during the season. The former manager thinks the squad depth of Wrexham will come in handy in the remaining ten games, and will also give a great headache to the coach for selection.
