Presnel Kimpembe is in between a rock and a hard place. The Paris Saint-Germain superstar has not played a single game this season due to a long-term injury he sustained last year. But moments ago, news came that the defender had gone through a successful operation. As supporters gathered behind the defender during this difficult period, Kylian Mbappe backed the Parisian vice-captain and assured him that he would ‘see the end of the tunnel‘ soon.
Heartfelt tributes also came from Kylian Mbappe’s teenage brother, Ethan, who also cast a ray of hope on Kimpembe’s path to recovery.

Former France teammate Blaise Matuidi wrote, “My brother you will come back like a warrior like you always were.” Furthermore, renowned French music producer DJ Snake also commented, wishing him well to recover as soon as possible. While these heartwarming messages will boost Kimpembe’s morale, the burning question arises: when can we expect him back?

When will Kimpembe return?
Kimpembe’s last match was against Marseille in February 2023. Sadly, before this injury, he had just come back from a prolonged muscle injury. Regardless, his recovery seems to be progressing positively, with the recent operation adding a hopeful speedup. In addition, images captured Kimpembe engaged in individual training sessions, but the club has not provided any extensive updates.

Although an exact return date remains uncertain, he is anticipated to be back in action sometime between this month and February. It is noteworthy that this injury had previously sidelined him during the 2022 World Cup. Nevertheless, Luis Enrique is optimistic about having the center-back in the lineup before the conclusion of the 2023-24 season.
