Ben Foster has done it. He has proved why fans were going berserk after his comeback. He saved Wrexham AFC from choking in yet another promotion-worthy season. It was a 3-2 lead to the red dragons and 6 minutes were added to the game. In literally the last minute of added time, the Welsh giants gave away the penalty to the guests, Notts County.
The Racecourse Stadium went quiet. Thousands of eyes were staring at Ben Foster, as it was his job now to save their magical season. Cedwyn Scott, the sub from Notts County, had a similar job. Just one penalty and Notts would tie the game and keep their hopes strong.
Experience won in this battle, as Ben Foster had no problem reading the youngster like a book. No Wrexham and Noss County fan will ever forget that save. Among thousands who saw this save live from the stadium was Wrexham owner Ryan Reynolds.
